Due to the increased Delta variant of Covid-19 in the Danville/Pittsylvania Co. area please be reminded of the Covid-19 Safety Protocols for Sunday, August 1st.*
For this Sunday, the following guidelines are operative:
- If you are fully vaccinated you may attend without wearing a mask.
- At this time vaccination status will be on the honor system. But if you have not yet been fully vaccinated, please wear a mask to help ensure the health and safety of others who, while fully vaccinated and masked, may still be especially vulnerable.
- Singing is now permitted. Those who are fully vaccinated may sing without a mask.
* Please know that changes may need to be made ‘on the fly’ on any given Sunday morning. So please be patient, flexible and of good cheer as we all venture back toward a new post-pandemic normal.

An Update & Announcement About Music
The Optional Practical Training extension of Pei-Yi’s student visa has expired. As you will recall, we were not able to secure a lottery based H1B Visa this past spring. We are in the process of applying for a non-lottery based H1B Visa but that process is not complete. Until this week there was some thought that Pei-Yi might be able to “volunteer” until an H1B is secured. However, based on a careful reading of the how that might work this is not a prudent option. So this Sunday and likely a few more Pei-Yi will be unable to play the organ.
There will be no music for Sunday, August 1st.

Sacred Grounds Coffee House
Beginning Wednesday August 25th there will be a new opportunity to gather socially during the week. Sacred Grounds Coffee House will be open Wednesdays from 10:00am - 12:00pm in the Parlor. Come at ten o’clock and stay till noon or drop by for a just bit. The coffee (decaf too) or tea is free, the conversation priceless and enlightening.

Save the Date: This year's Crop Walk will be on Sunday afternoon, October 3rd. With your help Epiphany raised $1,267 last year by participating in the Crop Walk. Let’s see what we can do in 2021! Sign-up details coming soon. |
A reminder that Fr. Jon is on vacation beginning Monday July 19th and returning to the office on Tuesday August 17th. There will be an “on call” vestry member daily while Fr. Jon is away. If you need to reach the on call vestry person please call (434) 792-4321 extension 6 and leave a detailed message. Your message will be emailed to the on call vestry person. Jennifer Hooper will also be in the office during normal office hours - Monday through Thursday from 9:00am - 2:00pm.
Lay Ministry Opportunities
At this time we are focusing our efforts on four key lay ministries and we still need folks to sign-up for the Usher/Greeter Team.
Usher/Greeter Team:

Usher/Greeters will serve in pairs each Sunday and will do what ushers have always done - greet people as they arrive, hand out bulletins, count heads, pass the plates, and generally be available to assist.
* There will be training for each of these lay ministries that will be fun, informative and ongoing.
