    Safe Church Training - Update

The Diocese of Southern Virginia requires people who have access to the building with a key fob and/or those in certain roles to complete Safe Church Training every 3 years. Please view this weeks eNews to get more information about whether or not you need Universal Training or Specialized Training. If you have a key fob, regardless of what you do at the church you will need to take one of these training sessions.

Please Click Here to see which training you need.

Universal Training applies to members of the Altar Guild, Choir Members, and Disciple’s Dinner/Lunch Volunteers. Specialized Training applies to those on the Vestry, Clergy, Employees, Choir Directors, Program Supervisors, and Home Visitors (Lay Eucharistic Ministers, Pastoral Care Visitors, etc.).

The Specialized Training session on October 1st and 2nd via Zoom is now full.

There are other options available if you were not able to take the September 6th Universal Training or the October 1st and 2nd Specialized Training.

Christ Church in Danville is offering in-person Specialized Training and Universal Training sessions Saturday, December 3rd and 4th. You must register online to attend, please note that space is very limited for both sessions.

Specialized Training: Saturday, December 3, 9:00a.m. - 3:00p.m. at Christ Church, Danville. Lunch will be provided. Click here to register.

Universal Training: Sunday, December 4, 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. at Christ Church, Danville. Click here to register.

Another way to complete your training is through Praesidium Academy Online Training, where you will take multiple courses to achieve the level of training you need.  Click here to register for Praesidium Academy online safe church training.

Right now it is not likely that there will be in-person Universal or Specialized Training sessions this year at Epiphany. This is because there are only two teachers in the Diocese and there is already an in-person training session scheduled in Danville at Christ Church.
