eNews For The Week of November 29, 2020

Morning Prayer Bulletin for This Sunday

Online Zoom Holy Eucharist: Join us this Sunday, November 29th at 10:00am EST via Zoom. Everyone must be logged-in or have called in before 10:00am. I suggest doing so by 9:55am. All Zoom attendees will be “admitted” from the waiting room as one group at 10:00am. Unfortunately if you are late we will likely not be able to admit you.

Positivity Rate and In-Person Worship: At the time this was written and in light of the Bishop’s eNews announcement about in-person worship from Tuesday, November 17th, it seems prudent to go ahead and decide that our service on the first Sunday of Advent (November 29th) will be online only. You can view the Bishop’s announcement HERE. We had planned to prerecord that service this week as a contingency anyway. The service will be available to view via the parish website EpiphanyEpiscopal.org beginning at 5:00pm Saturday evening, November 28th, and will be streamed via Zoom on Sunday morning at 10:00am. Instructions for logging-in or calling in to Zoom are below.

Family Christmas Greetings: We would like to put together a short video with Christmas Greetings from each of you to the rest of the parish. Please use your own device to record a 10-15 second video greeting and email that to the office at The deadline is Friday December 18th and you can begin sending those now.

Christmas Poinsettias: Poinsettias are $12.00 each and orders will be taken online via a form you can access on the front of our webpage, EpiphanyEpiscopal.org.  If you are not able to submit your order online, please call Shearin Light at (434) 489-8832, Monday-Friday after 3:30pm and she can assist you. Orders need to be placed by Monday, November 30th. Pickup will be Sunday, December 6th from 11:00am-11:30am and Monday December 7th from 9:00am-11:00am.  Due to COVID-19, pickup will take place at the Jefferson Street entrance.

Key Fobs: Recently the computer which controls the programming of the key fob system had to be replaced. This required the reprogramming of all fobs. In this process we have discovered that some fobs which have been reprogrammed are no longer recognized by the system. If this happens to you please contact the office about getting a new fob.

Live Stream posting to YouTube: At present we are not able to be certain about when the video from Sunday mornings will be available for viewing on YouTube. Our experience so far is that sometimes that process goes smoothly and other times not. It is our intention to have them posted by midday Monday and hopefully sooner. Thank you.

New Mailbox: It is not widely know that Epiphany has a new and secure mailbox. You may drop pledge payments or other “mail” in the box if you wish. The box is located on the wall opposite the intercom call button outside the 115 Jefferson Street entrance.
