Morning Prayer Bulletin for This Sunday

Do you plan on attending in-person Morning Prayer this Sunday?
Please let us know by clicking the link to REGISTER.

Live-Streaming has begun, join us this Sunday, November 15th at 10:00am EST via Zoom. Since we will be live-streaming, everyone must be logged-in or have called in before 10:00am. I suggest doing so by 9:55am. All Zoom attendees will be “admitted” from the waiting room as one group at 10:00am. Unfortunately if you are late we will likely not be able to admit you.

Holy Communion: Epiphany has returned to offering Holy Communion. Detailed instructions for how to appropriately reserve the sacrament and perform the ablutions can be found HERE

If you plan to attend digitally via Zoom and wish to receive communion, Fr Jon is in the process of developing written guidelines for this and hopes to have those ready to send out soon. If you wish to partake of Holy Communion on November 15th while attending digitally via Zoom please let him know directly. He will see that you receive the pre-consecrated elements, the proper instruction on how to reserve the sacrament appropriately in your home, and how to perform the ablutions after the service.

You may reach him by email at   , phone call or text at (434) 710-1933.

Stained Glass Window Update: Good News! The Good Shepherd window is scheduled to be reinstalled Tuesday morning.

Family Christmas Greetings: We would like to put together a short video with Christmas Greetings from each of you to the rest of the parish. Please use your own device to record a 10-15 second video greeting and email that to the office at The deadline is Friday December 18th and you can begin sending those now.

New Mailbox: It is not widely know that Epiphany has a new and secure mailbox. You may drop pledge payments or other “mail” in the box if you wish. The box is located on the wall opposite the intercom call button outside the 115 Jefferson Street entrance.

Guest Organist Today: Please join me in welcoming Baxter Jennings to the organ bench this morning. Baxter has played at Epiphany before and currently plays for a number of churches in the greater Danville area, including Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church.

Sunday November 22nd: Fr. Jon will be away the week of Thanksgiving. On Sunday November 22nd at 10:00am we will have a pre-recorded Morning Prayer liturgy with a brief homily from Fr. Jon. This liturgy will be streamed on Zoom as we have been doing these last months. Logon/dial-in details to follow.

Church Office Closed: The parish office will be closed the week of Thanksgiving. This closure is in addition to the regular office schedule. In case of a pastoral emergency you need to call Fr. Jon directly at (434) 710-1933

Live Stream posting to YouTube: At present we are not able to be certain about when the video from Sunday mornings will be available for viewing on YouTube. Our experience so far is that sometimes that process goes smoothly and other times not. It is our intention to have them posted by midday Monday and hopefully sooner. Thank you.

Key Fobs: Recently the computer which controls the programming of the key fob system had to be replaced. This required the reprogramming of all fobs. In this process we have discovered that some fobs which have been reprogrammed are no longer recognized by the system. If this happens to you please contact the office about getting a new fob.

Positivity Rate and In-Person Worship: As you know, recently the virus has been increasing. While an absolute threshold has not yet been established it is possible, even likely, that Epiphany will need to return to online worship only for a time if positivity rates reach a certain level.

Sunday November 29th: As is often the case the first Sunday of Advent is the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. At present we plan to have an in-person Holy Eucharist service at 10:00am. However, as a contingency we will prerecord a Eucharist service during the week of November 15th in case we are not able to have in-person worship.

Christmas Poinsettias: Poinsettias are $12.00 each and orders will be taken online HERE.  If you are not able to submit your order online, please call Shearin Light at (434) 489-8832, Monday-Friday after 3:30pm and she can assist you. Orders need to be placed by Monday, November 30th. Pickup will be Sunday, December 6th from 11:00am-11:30am and Monday December 7th from 9:00am-11:00am.  Due to COVID-19, pickup will take place at the Jefferson Street entrance.

Forward Day by Day: Daily devotional books for November/December/January are now available in the parish lobby.  Stop by anytime Monday - Thursday from 9:00am - 4:00pm to pick up your copy.
