An Important Announcement
Dear People of Epiphany,
“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven …”
I write to you this evening to let you know that I have accepted a new call to ministry. The Bishop of the Episcopal Church in Colorado, the Right Reverend Kym Lucas, has invited me to join her staff as Canon for Mission and Operations and I have accepted.
I begin in Denver August 1st. My last Sunday at Epiphany will be June 25th. The next several weeks will allow us time to say our goodbyes and to prepare ourselves for the next season in our lives and ministries.
Many things have changed in the five years since I came to Epiphany to be your Rector. It has been as season of many blessings and some challenges to be sure. I am confident that Epiphany is primed for the next season in her rich history and that your vestry is more than capable of leading the parish to and through it’s next season.
A prayer for clergy and people adapted from the Book of Common Prayer:
Almighty and everlasting God, from whom comes every good and perfect gift: Send down upon our bishops, and other clergy, and upon the congregations committed to their charge, the healthful Spirit of you grace; and, that they may truly please you, pour upon them the continual dew of your blessing. Grant this, O Lord, for the honor of our Advocate and Mediator, Jesus Christ. Amen.
